The Hewes Art GalleryThe Museum houses a small but exquisite collection of American decorative arts and furniture which reflect the Victorian era (1875-1885).  Special emphasis is placed on women’s needle and craft work and the practice of art collecting in the 19th century, as exemplified by David Hewes’ art collection listed in his 1886 published catalog.  The house also has a small photographic collection of 19th century interiors and a small teaching collection of 19th century household items.
