Victorian Hair Art, popularized during the late 1800s, is the practice of creating intricate keepsakes out of human hair as a means of memorializing loved ones. In this workshop we will break down the construction methods, techniques, and motivations behind the art form, while also constructing pieces of our own.

Join teaching artist Evelyn Orantes for a discussion about iconic Dia de los Muertos figures. Following the discussion, Evelyn will lead the group in creating your own Catraina and Catrin dancing puppets.
